Enrollment Information

Annual Enrollment

Open enrollment is your annual opportunity to review, update, or enroll in employer-sponsored benefits for the upcoming plan year (September 1 – August 31), with all elections and changes required to be completed during this period unless a qualifying life event occurs.

New Hires

New employees have 31 days from their hire date to enroll in benefits, which take effect on the first day of the month following your hire date, and completion of the enrollment process is required to ensure timely coverage and avoid lapses in benefits.

Midyear Changes

The benefits you select will remain in effect for the plan year (September 1 – August 31), with changes allowed only if a qualifying life event occurs; in such cases, employees have 31 days to notify their employer and complete the necessary paperwork.

Continuation of Coverage

Upon retirement or termination, you may be eligible to continue certain insurance coverages through COBRA, Portability, or Conversion, allowing you to extend, transfer, or convert your benefits based on eligibility and plan provisions.

With telehealth, you can receive treatment for minor illnesses without visiting a doctor’s office. Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

Financial Planning

You have the opportunity to save for retirement by participating in your Employer’s 403(b) retirement plan. A 403(b) plan is a retirement plan for certain employees of public schools, tax-exempt organizations and ministries.

You also have the option of a 457. A 457 is a deferred compensation plan with similar rules to a 403b.  Contact your financial representative to see which is best for you.
